Zac Efron Cast in Comedy MIKE AND DAVE NEED WEDDING DATES

Variety reports exclusively that Zac Efron has joined the cast of the upcoming comedy "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates," from FOX and Chernin Entertainment.

Jake Szymanski will helm the project with Peter Chernin, David Ready and Jenno Topping producing for Chernin Entertainment, along with Jonathan Levine. Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O'Brien penned the script.

The comedy will center on "two brothers who place an online ad to find dates for a wedding and the ad goes viral."

Efron was recently seen on the big screen in "Neighbors" and will soon appear in the adult comedy "Dirty Grandpa" opposite Robert De Niro. He recently wrapped production on the new film "We Are Your Friends."
