Walters Denies Elisabeth Hasselbeck's Departure on THE VIEW

At the start of this morning's live episode of ABC's THE VIEW, Barbara Walters addressed recent rumors surrounding co-hosts Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck's departures from the long-running talk show. Walters began by confirming the news that Behar will be leaving the show after 16 years.
She then continued by addressing last week's rumors commenting, "There is a particularly false story that is getting picked up about Elisabeth's alleged departure, saying we don't approve of her conservative views".
"The truth is we love Elisabeth. I like her personally, and she's a wonderful person," the host continued. But beyond that, we value and appreciate her point of view; it's important to us, because Elisabeth helps give the show perspective and balance. And believe me, she's tougher than she looks."The host concluded by maintaining, "We have no plans for Elisabeth to leave this show."Videos
