WFUV, New York is teaming with NPR Music to broadcast an exclusive performance by the English trio, alt-J, of songs from their forthcoming album, This Is All Yours, live from Le Poisson Rouge in New York City on Tuesday, September 2. The "First Listen Live" world premiere event, hosted by hosted by WFUV's Music Director, Russ Borris, and NPR's All Songs Considered host, Bob Boilen, will air at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org beginning at 9 p.m. ET and will also be available to watch live at NPR.org/music.

For the first time since their Mercury Prize-winning 2012 debut, An Awesome Wave, alt-J is set to take the stage with all-new music. This "First Listen Live" concert will be the band's first public performance of music from This Is All Yours (out September 22), offering a preview of what's to come on the band's UK and North American tours this fall.

"Since alt-J released their debut album, one thing about them has been very clear," said Borris. "They are a unique band with a sound that is hard to pin down. At a time when it's very difficult to set yourself apart from the pack, they have created a fresh, artistic sound that has done just that."

Funding for WFUV's ongoing coverage of live concerts and festivals comes from the Agnes Varis Trust, supporting affordable access to the arts, education and healthcare.
