Adult Swim announced today that NEWSREADERS, a new series from the creative team that brought you the Emmy(R) Award-winning comedy CHILDRENS HOSPITAL, will premiere on Thursday, January 17th at midnight (ET/PT). Get a sneak peek below!

NEWSREADERS is an absurd take on the television news magazine format, a show that goes behind the stories nobody else thinks are stories - because they're not. NEWSREADERS is the news magazine with more gratuitous nudity than any other news magazine.*

*Except for NEWSJUGGS.

Starring Mather Zickel as host Louis La Fonda, in its premiere season Newsreaders will also feature guest stars Katie Aselton, Ed Begley Jr., Lizzy Caplan, Garret Dillahunt, Dave Foley, Rachel Harris, Dennis Hayesbert, Tom Lennon, Joey McIntyre, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Dan Rather, Brandon Routh, and Jane Seymour.

Created by CHILDRENS HOSPITAL executive producers Rob Corddry (HOT TUB TIME MACHINE, THE DAILY SHOW WITH Jon Stewart), Jonathan Stern (THE TEN; NTSF:SD:SUV::) and David Wain (ROLE MODELS, WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER), with Emmy(R) Award-winning producer Jim Margolis (THE DAILY SHOW WITH Jon Stewart) serving as show-runner, Newsreaders will explore the vital issues that actually don't affect us every day, from hard-hitting investigations to harder-hitting heartwarming profiles. The series is produced by Abominable Pictures and Warner Bros. Television Group's Studio 2.0.

Adult Swim (AdultSwim.com), launched in 2001, is Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.'s network offering original and acquired animated and live-action series for young adults.
