Sing Along, a short film musical with an all-star cast, has just released its official trailer online. The movie centers on an introverted young man who escapes trepidation by envisioning his life in New York City as a musical. Watch the trailer below!

Myles Erlick, who starred in Billy Elliot, plays the lead role of Stephen, with Alice Ripley of Next to Normal as his mother. [title of show]'s Heidi Blickenstaff is his frustrated teacher; Uzo Aduba of Godspell is his cafeteria lady; Remy Zaken of Spring Awakening is an unfriendly classmate, while Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark's Patrick Page cameos as a homeless guy. Sam Tsui, whose album, The Covers, was released on Sh-K-Boom Records, and Cassandra Taylor, who currently performs in Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, also appear as fellow high school students.

Behind the scenes, Charles Salameno who has produced Broadway musicals such as Stick Fly, Cinderella, and the upcoming Pippin serves as executive producer. Ron Wasserman and Kathy Fisher, of the band Fisher, provide the music; their track, "Revival," is featured in the trailer.

Written and directed by Mark Oxman, Sing Along began production in early October of last year, after raising a portion of funds through a Kickstarter campaign. The film will have a private screening on April 28th and play film festivals throughout the year.
