VIDEO: Samuel Jackson & Stephen Colbert Ponder the Big Questions on LATE SHOW

On last night's LATE SHOW, Samuel L. Jackson joined Stephen under a starry night sky as they pondered life's deepest mysteries. You'll never believe what Abraham Lincoln is doing in heaven right now. Later, in the movie THE LEGEND OF TARZAN, Jackson plays a real person named George Washington Williams, who sounds like kind of a badass. Watch clips from last night's appearance below!

THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT premiered on Tuesday, Sept. 8 on CBS.The show is broadcast from the historic Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City.

Prior to that, Colbert spent eight years as a correspondent on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" as an on-air personality and writer of news satire for the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning series.
