Miss Utah 2013 was granted a 're-do' on this morning's TODAY show. The beauty pageant contestant became media fodder ever since she struggled to answer a question posed to her at Sunday night's Miss USA competition. Watch this morning's appearance below!
"I just started speaking without really processing," she explained to Today show anchor Matt Lauer, who offered his guest the opportunity to answer the question one more time under less stressful conditions.
"A recent report shows that in 40 percent of American families with children, women are the primary earners, yet they continue to earn less than men," he posed. "What does it say about society?"
A much more confident Miss Utah replied, "So this is not okay. There has to be equal pay for equal work. It's hard enough already to earn a living. It shouldn't be harder just because you are a woman."
