Masters champion Adam Scott said that he was "privileged" to bring the green jacket home to Australia, because it "has meant so much to every Aussie kid for such a long time," in an interview broadcast today, April 17, 2013, on CBS THIS MORNING (7:00-9:00AM) on the CBS Television Network.

He told co-hosts Gayle King and Charlie Rose that his caddy had been invaluable to his win, saying "Steve gave me the best read I could ever get out of a caddy, and there's the value of a good caddy."

Scott added that despite rumors that he may be featured on an upcoming season of "The Bachelor," he is actually "very much in a relationship and very happy at the moment." Check out the appearance in full below!

Excerpts from the interview are below.

ROSE: If I heard one time I heard it a thousand times from CBS announcer Jim Nantz and from others, the whole nation is taking a breath in Australia. Did you feel like you were carrying them on your shoulders?

SCOTT: Maybe into the playoff, yeah, I guess so. Because we've gone so long and I've answered the questions for my career on when is an Aussie going to win the Masters because it's never happened. I was interested in when I was as well. But to see my hero Greg Norman come so close and how much he's meant for the game, it's gone on for too long. And there were four of us playing so well last week, the Australians, it could've been any one of us, and I'm just so privileged that it was my time and it fell on my shoulders.
