VIDEO: Mastermind Behind Manti Te'o Hoax Speaks with DR. PHIL

Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, the so-called 'mastermind' behind the Manti Te'o girlfriend hoax, will appear on the Syndicated talk show DR. PHIL in a two-part broadcast beginning this Thursday, January 31. The interview was taped last week. This morning, NBC's Today show aired a clip from the interview. Check it out below!

The interviews will be the first on-camera appearance for Tuiasosopo, who is accused of duping Te'o, the former Notre Dame all-American linebacker and Heisman Trophy finalist.

Tuiasosopo reportedly created the fictional girlfriend who he called Lennay Kekua, and began an on-line relationship with Te'o. The hoax went as far as the couple becoming engaged despite the fact that the romance was all over phone and social media. Tuiasosopo confessed to Dr. Phil that he had romantic feelings toward the athlete.
