Last night's episode of JEOPARDY ended highly unusually. All three contestants incorrectly identified the final question and bet all their money. The result? What is 'A Three-Way Loss?

"State Capitals" was the challenging category the contestants faced. The answer given was: "A 1957 event led to the creation of a national historic site in this city, signed into law by a president whose library is now there too."

Following the three-way loss, Alex Trebek informed the contestants that since all three answered incorrectly, there will be three new contestants on tonight's show. Explained the host, "We have no returning champion. We will introduce three new players. So, sorry folks!"
