The cruise line who brought you the FlowRider and the Rockwall has announced its next groundbreaking innovation: Kristin Chenoweth, Godmother of Quantum of the Seas. Watch the actress' promo as Godmother of Royal Caribbean's new ship below!

Royal Caribbean's commercial featuring Chenoweth aired during the 2013 Academy Awards, announcing Chenoweth as "godmother" to the cruise line's newest ship, set to debut in the fall of 2014. Chenoweth's duties will include christening the ship, attending the naming ceremony and bestowing a blessing on the ship and its passengers.

Royal Caribbean was the first cruise line to introduce Broadway shows onboard, and Chenoweth's Broadway background is a perfect fit.

Best known for her starring role as Glinda the Good Witch in Broadway's Wicked, the petite Chenoweth has become a prolific star on the stage and screen. Her television roles have ranged from Glee and Pushing Daisies to The West Wing and GCB. Her onstage roles have ranged from a Tony-winning performance in You're A Good Man Charlie Brown to Promises, Promises; and her film appearances span the cinematographic spectrum, from Bewitched to Running with Scissors. As a solo performer, she sold out Carnegie Hall as well as the Metropolitan Opera House - and she's collaborated with symphonies around the country. Outside the spotlight, she's recorded four albums and written a candid, uplifting book, "A Little Bit Wicked."
