1600 Penn star Josh Gad stopped by last night's TONIGHT SHOW WITH Jay Leno and decided to use the appearance to audition for J.J. Abrams upcoming Star Wars installment. "The sky's the limit -- from what I understand, they're gonna do all these different things. So I was thinking, why can't someone like me star in one of those films?...Why can't Leia and Han have an overweight son named Michael Solo?" Check out the appearance below!

Gad proceeded to take out a script from pocket and asked The Talk show host to read lines with him in thr role of Harrison Ford's Han Solo revealing that Gad's 'Michael Solo' would be "the fattest kid in Jedi school," dealing with "Grandpa Vader's breathing problems" and asking his father about the time "Mom and Uncle Luke almost hooked up on Endor."

"The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" features a nightly monologue (the longest in late-night), news-making guests, and ongoing comedy segments, including "Headlines," "Jaywalking" and "Battle of Jaywalking All-Stars." The result is a unique and humorous look at the daily happenings in the news and in pop culture.

The program is also a proven barometer of political clout. In 2009, the show made history by being the first late-night show to host a sitting president when Jay Leno welcomed President Barack Obama as a guest.

"The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" is from Big Dog Productions in association with Universal Television. Debbie Vickers is the executive producer.
