VIDEO: John Oliver Urges Americans: 'Don't Let Trump Play The Trump Card'
On last night's LAST WEEK TONIGHT, host John Oliver discussed last week's indictments of Paul Manafort and Rick Gates and the guilty plea from Trump campaign advisor George Papadopoulos. The Emmy winning talk show host also urged Americans not to allow Trump to use 'The Trump Card,' which he describes as using his own incompetence as a defense. LAST WEEK TONIGHT WITH JOHN OLIVER is the only weekly news-oriented comedy series to be presented on Sunday night. Taped in New York a few hours before it debuts on HBO, the show features a mix of Oliver's topical commentary, pre-taped pieces and occasional guests.
The series has been renewed for three additional seasons, extending its run on the network through 2020.
