Luke (Ryan Gosling) is a professional motorcycle rider who turns to bank robberies in order to support his newborn son. When he crosses paths with Avery (Bradley Cooper), a rookie police officer, a violent confrontation changes both their lives.

Years later, their two sons unknowingly collide with one another, thrusting them into a tense inter-generational feud. THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES is a rich dramatic thriller that traces the intersecting lives of fathers and sons, cops and robbers, heroes and villains.
