FUNNY OR DIE just posted a hilarious BYE BYE BIRDIE parody send-off for departing Speaker of the House John Boehner, wishing him "nothing but the best." Check it out below!

The video is from Broadway alum, and former DAILY SHOW correspondent, Mary Birdsong. After appearing in the original cast of MARTIN SHORT: FAME BECOMES ME, Birdsong joined the Broadway cast of HAIRSPRAY as Velma Von Tussle.

BYE BYE BIRDIE, with book by Michael Stewart, lyrics by Lee Adams and music by Charles Strouse, hit Broadway in 1960 starring Dick Van Dyke, Chita Rivera and more. It won 1961 TONY AWARDS for Best Musical, Best Direction and Best Choreography, as well as Best Featured Actor for Van Dyke. The story is a satire following the career of fictional rock star 'Conrad Birdie' in late 1950s America. It's since been adapted for TV and film and seen countless revivals and regional productions.
