Universal Sets LEGEND Release Date for October 2

Universal Pictures announced that they have set a release date for its latest crime thriller "Legend" for October 2.

The Brian Helgeman directed movie is based on the rise and fall of twin brothers Reggie and Ronnie Kray who piloted organized crime in London during the 1960s before being convicted of murder in 1969. The brothers were widely feared and involved in armed robberies, arson, protection rackets, assaults and the murders of Jack "The Hat" McVitie and George Cornell. Both were sentenced to life imprisonment.

Tom Hardy ("Mad Max: Fury Road") will portray both Kray brothers and star alongside of Emily Browning, David Thewlis, Christopher Eccleston, Chazz Palminteri, Tara Fitzgerald and Taron Egerton.
