Tommy Lee Jones Set for COWBOYS Remake

Variety is exclusively reporting that Oscar-winner Tommy Lee Jones will write and direct a remake of the John Wayne Western THE COWBOYS.
The original film starred John Wayne and Bruce Dern and focused on a rancher who had to train a group of boys to lead his herd to market, after the gold rush lured his ranchers away. There is no word yet if Jones would also star in the film.
Jones has been nominated for four Academy Awards, and one for 1992's THE FUGITIVE.
