Tim Roth to Star in David Cronenberg's KNIFEMAN

Deadline.com reports that Tim Roth is set to star in David Cronenberg's upcoming series KNIFEMAN. The series is based on the John Tattersall biography by Wendy Moore.
The Academy Award-nominated actor will portray Tattersall, described as "an 18th-century self-taught surgeon, whose methods were unorthodox. Using thousands of human corpses, many of which were purchased from body-snatchers, Tattersall attempted to discover the secrets of the human body."
Cronenberg, known for his horror films Videodrome and The Fly, will direct the pilot and also serve as an executive producer.
KNIFEMAN marks Roth's second venture into American TV. He most recently starred on the Fox procedural 'Lie to Me.'
