Summer 2013 is shaping up to be a hot summer for Republic Nashville award-winning, platinum-selling, sibling trio, THE BAND PERRY. The band was just nominated for a second Teen Choice Award in the "Choice Break-Up Song Category," in addition to a nomination for "Choice Country Group." The 2013 Teen Choice Awards will air on FOX on August 11th.
The Band Perry will also headline one of Nashville's signature events this summer - "Music City July 4th: Let Freedom Sing!" at The Lawn at Riverfront Park. The July 4th event will feature live music and family activities throughout the afternoon and evening, and the headlining concert will be followed by one of the nation's best fireworks displays choreographed to live music from the Nashville Symphony. A special treat will be The Band Perry performing three of their songs with the Nashville Symphony. SiriusXM Radio will simulcast the entire live performance on "The Highway" (CH 59) at 9:30pm ET, hosted by Storme Warren. In other The Band Perry news, Betty Lou, the band's grandmother, who is no stranger to the world of social media, has just starred in a series of videos encouraging fans of the band to get online and vote for her grandkids for the Teen Choice Awards.
