ABOUT PILLOW TALK | The first of three pairings of Doris Day and Rock Hudson, at the time uncontested top box-office attractions, garnered the still distressingly underrated Day her only Oscar nomination, playing business-minded Manhattan interior designer who finds herself sharing a party line with Hudson's skirt-chasing composer, who's astonished to find that THE VOICE on the other end of the line belongs to a very fetching young woman. An irresistibly colorful CinemaScope confection that shows off a SUCCESSION of swank midcentury interiors, with piquant supporting turns courtesy Thelma Ritter and Tony Randall, a staple of the Day-Hudson sex comedy cycle.
