Teri Polo to Star in Jennifer Lopez Pilot THE FOSTERS

Deadline reports that Teri Polo and Sherri Saum have signed on to star in the upcoming ABC Family pilot THE FOSTERS from executive producer Jennifer Lopez. Simon Fields, Bredeweg, Paige, and Greg Gugliotta will also executive produce. The pilot was written by Bradley Bredeweg and Peter Paige.

According to the report, the drama will follow the story of "Stef (Polo) and Lena (Saum) Foster, a mixed-race couple who are raising a biological son, along with several adopted children. When Lena decides to take in Callie, a troubled teen with an abusive past, Callie’s disruptive ways threaten to turn the Fosters’ lives upside down."

Teri Polo is best known for her role in the 'Meet The Parents' film franchise. Sherri Saum appeared in the HBO series 'In Treatment.'
