Telemundo's Premios Tu Mundo 2017 Reaches 5.8 Million Total Viewers

Last night's broadcast of "Premios Tu Mundo" on Telemundo and Universo reached a combined audience of 5,782,000 total viewers and 2,790,000 adults 18-49, according to Nielsen. The three hour show delivered a combined average of 2,077,000 total viewers and 961,000 adults 18-49. "Premios Tu Mundo" ranked as the #1 program in its time slot, regardless of language, in Los Angeles, New York and Miami, among adults 18-49. It also ranked as the #1 Spanish-language program in its time slot in Houston, San Francisco, Chicago, Phoenix, Orlando, Philadelphia, Denver, Washington DC, Tampa, Atlanta and Boston, among adults 18-49.

On social, "Premios Tu Mundo" was the #1 most social TV program across broadcast and cable on Thursday. The show generated 7,200,000 global video views and 1,100,000 global actions across social platforms from the start of voting. Overall, it generated over 2,300,000 total US votes, +87% vs. 2016.

Hosted by Carmen Villalobos, Daniel Sarcos, and Fernanda Castillo, the awards ceremony showcased a diverse array of music genres that were on display during 14 mesmerizing performances. The show also featured a captivating moment when Emmy Award-winning news anchor, Jose Diaz-Balart took the stage accompanied by the NOTICIAS TELEMUNDO team, as well as other network talent and staff to convey Telemundo's stand against hatred and discrimination in light of the recent events in Charlottesville, Virginia. In another emotional moment, surrounded by powerful imagery, music performers Luis Enrique Nacho and Olga Tañon joined on stage to perform "Valiente," as a show of solidarity with the current plight of the Venezuelan people.
