TV One Presents RICKEY SMILEY FOR REAL

Rickey Smiley For Real takes a humorous look at Smiley's hectic life as he manages his career, single fatherhood and personal life. This docu-series is a voyeuristic view into what makes Smiley a successful media mogul in radio, comedy and television, as well as captures the Syndicated host as he juggles two families - one at home and the other at work. Throughout the season, viewers get a sneak peek at Smiley's most important role - fatherhood - as he keeps his head above water with an untraditional schedule and lifestyle. They will see Smiley in both relatable and un-relatable situations - cooking dinner, performing on stage, family outings, business meetings, raising his kids, celebrity dates and coaching co-workers - as well as get an insider's look at his professional life on the road, in-studio and backstage. Splitting his time between Atlanta and Birmingham, as well as his struggle to find work-life balance while trying to maintain a love life will be a central focus of the series.

Rickey puts his new assistant candidates to the test and gets his affairs in order during a meeting with his attorney. Brandon tries to step his game up in the romance department, and Craig and Malik try to help Miss Pat STEP IT UP in the kitchen.

The kids take it upon themselves to set Rickey up on a dream blind date on his impromptu trip to Miami. D'Essence contemplates getting a tattoo and Brandon his having a tough time without a job or a car. Meanwhile, Brat and Gary try to resolve their differences through art.

STRAIGHT OUTTA BIRMINGHAM

New Episode: Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 8 p.m. ET

Rickey takes the kids to visit his old 'hood, and later, visits the scene of his own shooting some twenty years earlier. Malik and Brandon's sneaker cleaning business becomes too much of a success, too quickly. Brat and Headkrack show off their skills in the studio, and Juicy follows through on her aspirations in the world of fashion.

THE 'I' IN TEAM

New Episode: Tuesday, Dec. 29 at 8 p.m. ET

Rickey proposes a big team building exercise for the radio crew which pits the guys against the girls in an outdoor adventure. Brandon seeks advice for planning an anniversary party and Malik and Craig have a rowdy study session until Miss Pat and Rickey decide to crash it.

MAGIC IS IN THE AIR

Season Finale: Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 8 p.m. ET

Rickey, the radio crew, and the family attend the annual MAGIC CITY Classic in Birmingham and Rickey makes a big announcement regarding his future plans. Brandon receives an ultimatum to attend couple's therapy or lose his relationship. Meanwhile, D'Essence wants maintain a relationship with her biological father and talks to both Craig and Rickey to get their opinions.
