TV Drama Inspired by LINDSAY LOHAN Defense Attorney In the Works at NBC

According to Deadline, celebrity defense lawyer Shawn Holley has inspired a new hour-long NBC drama backed by Universal and Working Title. The show will follow a defense laywer who sees beyond her clients' poor reputations to fight for their innocence in court, despite the social judgement working against them.

The main character is loosely influenced by Holley and her work with numerous celebrities in their legal conflicts including serving on O.J. Simpson's defense team during his murder trial. Some of her best-known clients include LINDSAY Lohan, Michael Jackson, the Kardashian sisters, Reggie Bush, Snoop Dogg, Jesse McCartney, Axl Rose, and Mike Tyson.

The unnamed project will be written by co-written by Lauren Schmidt, who also penned popular shows such as PARENTHOOD and THE WEST WING, alongside co-executive producing POWER. Schmidt will also be working with attorney David Fox.
