THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT Posts Largest Second Quarter Audience Ever
THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT continued its season-winning dominance delivering its most-watched second quarter audience ever, according to Nielsen live plus 7-day ratings for April-June 2018.
During the second quarter of 2018, THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT averaged 3.63 million viewers, beating its closest competitor by +51% and +1.2 million viewers, which marked its largest margin of victory ever in the second quarter. THE LATE SHOW was the only late night show to demonstrate viewer growth in the window, increasing +5% over the same quarter last year (3.63m from 3.46m) while both "The Tonight Show" (2.41m versus 2.83m, -15%) and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (2.10m versus 2.12m, -1%) were down during the same period.
Also, for the first time ever in the second quarter, THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT tied "Tonight" for the top spot in adults 25-54 (0.8) and adults 18-49 (0.5).
