Los Angeles International Short Film Festival (LA Shorts Fest), one of the most prestigious and largest international short film festivals in the world, announced their 2018 line up today. CineFocus Production's film "The Blame Game" will screen for the first time in the United States at the LA Shorts Fest starting Wednesday, July 25 through Thursday, August 2.

The Los Angeles-based CineFocus Productions is debuting their official selection "The Blame Game" at the LA Shorts Fest Independent Film Festival 2018 by new director and CineFocus partner, Herb Kimble. The film is a thriller about an international businessman named Alex who has fallen from unparalleled success to rock bottom. Seemingly at the top of the world, the vices and temptations of success entrap Alex in a VICIOUS cycle of self-destruction which lead him to a standoff against a shadowy figure in a desolate high-rise office. His wife, Amy, reaches out to him trying to prevent him from going over the edge, but the demons haunting him end up having the last say.

This CineFocus Production was shot in Manila, Philippines in early 2018.

CineFocus co-founder and star of the film, Matthew Grant Godbey said, "It's an honor to have our film recognized and selected to premiere at this high profile festival. "The Blame Game" was unique to create working side by side with my CineFocus partner Herb Kimble".

Established in February 2017 by Herb Kimble and his acting school friend Godbey, CineFocus Productions is headquartered at The Lot Studios in West Hollywood. Kimble is a former stage thespian in his hometown of Chicago while Godbey in known for his TV role in "NCIS: Los Angeles", as well as shows such as "Nip/Tuck," "Charmed," and "The Young and the Restless".

From acting, Kimble transitioned to the CORPORATE world. In 2001, he journeyed to Manila where he has made considerable success in the call center industry. According to Godbey, "Herb's good fortune has enabled us to form CineFocus together, with the goal of telling great stories through the art of filmmaking."
