SummerScreen, Brooklyn's Free Film and Concert Series, Presents DIE HARD

Brooklyn's favorite FREE Film and Concert Series has returned this summer to McCarren Park for its 13th consecutive year! Taking place every Wednesday in July and August, the weekly event will screen eight films in the park and will offer food, beverage and live music. Screenings continue on Wednesday, August 15th with Die Hard!

Screenings kicked off last month with Jawbreaker. The lineup for this year includes cult classics, comedies, and fan favorites such as Hackers, When HARRY Met Sally, and Fantastic Mr. Fox. In addition, there will be a seventh musical themed night and film with the eighth film will be Audience Choice and announced mid to late August. Contenders for this year's audience choice include classics like High Fidelity, Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, Bad Boys, You Got Served, and Rocky Horror Picture Show. Attendees can enjoy awesome food and beverage choices from local vendors around the NYC area. Doors open at 6pm, live music starts at 7:30pm and the film will begin at sundown!

Brooklyn artist Bethany Robertson has handcrafted limited edition posters for each film and SummerScreen event, which will be showcased at each screening.

SummerScreen, presented by Northside Media, is the longest-running event series of Northside Media, which creates exceptional content and experiences for passionate music, innovation & food communities. SummerScreen would like to give a big thanks to SHOWTIME® and Rx Bar all their support.
