According to EWonline, actor Steve Carell will be making his return to TV with a guest voiceover on Fox's long running animated series, THE SIMPSONS.

On the episode, Carell will voice the character of Dan Gillick, Fat Tony's stressed-out accountant, who has a melt down when his client forces him to lead the mob while he goes off to serve on jury duty.  While commenting on Carell's character, Executive producer Al Jean said, “He’s nervous, and then Fat Tony says that he’s got to kill some people and then he’s really nervous because he actually wants to do it. The line between Ivy League MBA and ruthless murderer is a very thin one.” Ultimately, Dan winds up as a replacement bowling team member on Homer Simpson's team and receives advice from him about how to handle the sticky situation.

Carell is set to start filming the upcoming comedy, "Burt Wonderstone" with actor Jim Carrey. His appearance on The Simpsons is scheduled to air next Fall on the Fox network.
