Stars of 'The Couple' Attend NewFilmmakers Festival

Juliette Bennett, Ken Forman, and Angela Dee, the stars of the comic film THE COUPLE, attended a screening of their film at the New Filmmakers Film Festival at the famed Anthology Film Archives in Manhattan's trendy Lower East Side. Barney Oldfield, the Chairman of AFA, and the founder of New Filmmakers, was the host of the event. (http://www.newfilmmakers.com)

The ensemble comedy, and its stars, are on a roll. THE COUPLE has won an "Award of Merit" at The Los Angeles Cinema Film Festival of Hollywood, an "Award of Merit" from The Best Shorts Competition, and an "Honorable Mention," from The Los Angeles Movie Awards. Juliette Bennett was also awarded "Best Actress" by the Manhattan Film Festival, and "Best Actor in a Short Comedy," and "Best Actor in a Short Film" by BAFF Film Festival in San Francisco. Bennett has been called, "a beautiful New York actor to watch." (www.juliettebennett.com).

The film was directed by Alison Chernick (Matthew Barney: No Restraint, The Jeff Koons Show), and stars Bennett, Ken Forman (Boardwalk Empire, Twilight Zone, www.KenForman.com) and Angela Dee (Brian Pera's Woman's Picture, the voice of Ask.com (U.K.), www.angeladee.com).

Also in attendance were Bill Connington, Oliver Martin, and Amit Gupta. Juliette Bennett starred with Connington and Anthony Haden-Guest in THE THORNHILLS OF PARK AVENUE (directed by Thomas Caruso) which will be screened at the Somewhat North of Boston Film Festival on September 17 (http://www.snobfilmfestival.com). Bennett stars with Martin (Coup de Grace) in the upcoming web series SHADES OF GREY. Gupta is the CEO of TenLegs, a new website that's getting a lot of buzz.
