Speak Your Silence (SYS) announced today that Juli Reed, VP of Development for Marcus Lemonis, has been appointed to serve on the organization's Board.

SYS Founder/CEO, Matt Pipkin, sees Reed's background, skillset, and passion as a perfect addition to SYS and a strong indicator of the future direction of the organization.

Pipkin commented, "Our mission - to prevent sexual abuse and assault and help those affected - has never been more relevant. Building on past successes, we're launching a pilot outreach "BUS(iness)", converting a vintage Volkswagen bus into a pop-up venue to share our mission and activate new supporters, which we intend to replicate in cities across the US." Pipkin continued, "Juli's a rock star and her unique blend of experience aligns perfectly with SYS' vision. We've collaborated in the past and I saw then exactly what people saw when they watched Marcus Lemonis choose her as his Partner on CNBC's The Partner: she cares about people, is very creative, and she gets things done. I'm thrilled she's joining our Board!"

"I have loved SYS' mission and the way the organization was structured and run from day one. I think it's simplicity is so effective." commented Reed. "Coming from the non-profit world, I know how challenging this space can be, good and bad. I want to do my part in helping SYS grow the potential I think we all see for it. I am so excited to be a part of this organization I believe in so deeply!"

ABOUT JULI REED:

Juli is a dynamic, creative, and purpose driven "Jackie of all trades."

After graduating from Pepperdine University, Juli's career led her down an unconventional path. From the fashion industry, working in both visual merchandising and accessories design for Levi Strauss, to helping her then mentor launch an accessories and leather goods line in Los Angeles, to leaving the industry entirely to pursue her sense of purpose, empowering women and girls, through her role as Director of Partnerships for the non-profit I AM THAT GIRL. From there, Juli left the non-profit world to submit herself as a candidate to partner with the entrepreneur and well-known businessman on CNBC's The Profit, Marcus Lemonis, through a series called The Partner. Juli won the title of The Partner and a three-year contract to work with Marcus to help manage his ever-growing portfolio of small businesses.

She uses her unique skills, knowledge of various industries, strong sense of people, abundant empathy and creative eye as VP of Development to manage numerous projects for the organization.

Juli wholeheartedly believes that one's passion can become their career and she wakes up thankful every day.
