According to Latino Review, new names are currently in the mix to take on iconic X-MEN roles in the next film, 'APOCALYPSE.'

For Storm, Zendaya Coleman and Alexandra Shipp are frontrunners.

The film "will have more of the mass destruction that 'X-Men' films, to date, have not relied upon...there's definitely now a character and a story that allow room for that kind of spectacle," director Brian Singer previously said of X-MEN: APOCALYPSE.

The film hits theaters on May 27, 2016.

The previous X-MEN film, 'DAYS OF FUTURE PAST,' starred Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender,James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Halley Berry, Nicholas Hoult, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing, Boo Boo Stewart, Adan Canto, Evan Peters, Josh Helman, Lucas Till and Evan Jonigkeit.

The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The beloved characters from the original "X-Men" film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class, in an epic battle that must change The Past - to save our future.
