Sofia Coppola And Bill Murray to Reunite for Apple & A24's First Film

Sofia Coppola is set to direct Bill Murray in the upcoming film "On the Rocks," according to Deadline. This film marks Apple and A24's first film partnership.

Coppola and Murray will re-team for the first time sincerthe Oscar-winning "Lost in Translation."

The movie follows a young mother who reconnects with her larger than life playboy father on an adventure through New York. Rashida Jones will star alongside Murray. Production on the film begins this spring in New York.

For her work on "Lost in Translation, "Coppola won an original screenwriting Oscar and was nominated for best director. Murray received a Best Actor Oscar nomination for his role in the film, and the movie received a Best Picture nomination.

Coppola will produce the film with Youree Henley. A24 has previously worked with Coppola on "The Bling Ring."
