Charissa made her acting television debut on "One Life to Live" where she played fan favorite Sophia Pellegrino from 1999 to 2001, leaving Llanview after her character was injured in the line of duty and sent to rehabilitation in the Midwest.

Shortly thereafter, Charissa landed the role of law student turned obsessive assistant Tory Granger on "Guiding Light," where she stalked Ross and Blake Marler until her arrest and admission to a mental hospital in 2002.

Additionally, Charissa will appear as Ally in the feature film "Hysterical Psycho," premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 24, 2009. She also will be seen in "The Marconi Bros." to be shown at the Lincoln Arts Academy Film Festival on March 28, 2009.
