The simultaneous broadcast of NBC UNIVERSO's first original scripted series EL VATO delivered a combined average of 876,000 total viewers, according to Nielsen. Starring Regional Mexican star El Dasa, the premiere episode averaged 802,000 total viewers and 408,000 adults 18-49 on TELEMUNDO, and 74,000 total viewers and 50,000 adults 18-49 on NBC UNIVERSO. On social media, "El Vato" reached 950,000 global Facebook users, outpacing recent scripted entertainment programs.Produced by Endemol Shine Latino and Boomdog, the 10 episode-long dramedy marks the acting debut for the talented and charismatic singer from Sonora, México who takes on a new challenge to expand his artistic career.
