Shia LaBeouf Joins Cast of Brad Pitt Thriller FURY
Shia LaBeouf is currently in discussions to join Brad Pitt's upcoming World War II thriller FURY from Sony Pictures. David Ayers will helm the project from a script he wrote.
FURY tells the story of "the commander of a Sherman tank and its five-man crew on a mission behind enemy lines. Story is set in April 1945 as Nazi Germany collapses." According to the report, LaBeouf will take on the role of a crew member.
Production is scheduled to begin this September with a planned release date of November 14, 2014.
LaBeouf began his career in the Disney Channel series Even Stevens, for which he received a Daytime Emmy Award, and with his film debut in Holes (2003), based on the novel of the same name by Louis Sachar. In 2004, he made his directorial debut with the short film Let's Love Hate and later directed and shot the music video for "I Never Knew You" by rapper Cage.
In 2007, LaBeouf starred as the lead in the commercially successful films, Disturbia, Transformers and Surf's Up. His other films include Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008),Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (2010), and Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011). He will next be seen on the big screen in Lars von Trier "Nymphomaniac."
