The series premiere of SCORPION emerged as Monday's top freshman program in viewers and key demographics, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for premiere Monday, Sept. 22. At 9:00 PM, the series premiere of SCORPION was first in viewers (14.01m) and second in adults 25-54 (4.6/11) and adults 18-49 (3.3/09). Compared to the time period delivery on premiere Monday last year (2 BROKE GIRLS/MOM), CBS was up +35% in adults 25-54 (from 3.4/08), +22% in adults 18-49 (from 2.7/07) and added +5.57m viewers (from 8.43m, +66%). SCORPION posted the time period's best non-sports delivery in viewers since Nov. 21, 2011 (TWO AND A HALF MEN/MIKE & MOLLY). At 8:00 PM, the eighth season premiere of THE BIG BANG THEORY was first in viewers (17.75m), adults 25-54 (6.9/19) and adults 18-49 (5.3/17). This is the best viewer delivery in the time period for a regularly scheduled program since March 3, 1997 ("Cosby"), in adults 25-54 since Jan. 7, 2002 ("The King of Queens") and in adults 18-49 since April 1, 2002 ("Everybody Loves Raymond"). At 8:30 PM, a second episode of THE BIG BANG THEORY (S) was first in viewers (17.99m), adults 25-54 (7.0/17) and adults 18-49 (5.4/15), and was the night's top program in those measures.
