According to The Hollywood Reporter, Season 10 AMERICAN IDOL winner Scotty McCreery will sing the 'Elimination Song' on this season of the Fox singing competition. McCreery will croon the Tim McGraw song "Please Remember Me" beginning on this Thursday's results show.

Commented McCreery, "I was ecstatic and I'm glad to get to be on there. It's cool to still be connected to the show every week. Most likely, I'll be able to come back and perform and get to see all those familiar faces and give the current Idols some advice." The country singer has recently been on tour with Brad Paisley. His debut album, 'Clear as Day' went platinum this past January.

As previously reported, former AMERICAN IDOL contestants Adam Lambert, James Durbin and Chris Daughtry will be among those returning to perform during Season 11 of the show. McCreery is expected to perform on an episode as well.

Idol's creator and executive producer Simon Fuller commented, "The success Scotty has enjoyed since he won Idol last year is incredible. He has a platinum album selling over a million copies in just a few short months and has enjoyed a sell out arena tour with Brad Paisley. With the release of this special song, 'Please Remember Me,' his success is set to continue and hit new highs. Idol is proud of all the incredible stars that have come from our show."
