Samantha Bee Will Discuss Her Comments About Ivanka Trump on Her Show This Week

Samantha Bee is set to talk about the remarks she made about Ivanka Trump last week, according to CNN. The TBS host will discuss her comments, as well as the subsequent controversy, where her show returns Wednesday night.

Bee describes her comments as "inappropriate and inexcusable" and said that they "crossed a line."

At the Television Academy Honors last week, where Bee received a "social change" award, she addressed the subject, saying that she and her team "spent the day wrestling with the repercussions of one bad word, when we all should have spent the day incensed that as a nation we are wrenching children from their parents and treating people legally seeking asylum as criminals."

A spokesman for TBS said Bee will discuss this further but no further details have been shared.
