STAGE TUBE: John Travolta and Family Make First Public Appearance at D23 Expo

John Travolta made a surprise appearance with his wife and daughter, Kelly Preston and Ella Bleu Travolta at Disney's D23 Expo in Anaheim today to promote their new movie, Old Dogs. This marks the first public event for the family since the tragic death of 16-year-old, Jett Travolta, in January.

"We appreciate the love," he said quietly to the crowd of fans, who gave the star and his family a standing ovation.

The name "D23" pays homage to the wonder and excitement that began in 1923 when Walt Disney opened his fledgling studio in Hollywood.
