SING-OFF Host Nick Lachey and Wife Vanessa Expecting First Baby

People.com reports that SING-OFF host Nick Lachey and his wife Vanessa (formerly Minnillo) are expecting their first baby in early fall. The singer confirmed the news on ABC's Live! With Kelly as he co-hosted Monday's show.

Lachey explained that his wife's frequent illness prompted the couple to investigate the cause. "She started to feel a little different, not herself. So she went to the store, got a pregnancy test, and it came back positive. So we are having a baby!" He added, "I've had a chance to do a lot of great things in my career and my life but this is the one thing that, more than any other, I look forward to. The fact that it's actually here, it's overwhelming."

Vanessa Lachey, host of ABC's 'Wipeout', shared the news on her Twitter account, commenting, "Finally, Nick and I are ready to share our news ... We have been blessed with a little angel! We can't wait to meet Baby Lachey!!!"

Both actors have been swamped with well-wishing messages on their Twitter accounts. Lachey thanked his fans for their support, posting "Thanks to everyone for all the well-wishes! It means a lot to Vanessa and I. Who's guessing? Boy or girl?"

This will be the first child for the couple, who were married on July 15, 2011.
