Roseanne Barr, Jason Ritter to Star in Upcoming NBC Pilots

As reported on TVLine.com, the NBC network has just announced that it has picked up 10 pilots for its upcoming season, including projects from Rosanne Barr and Jason Ritter. 

The network has ordered a pilot from Parenthood's Jason Katims and Jason Ritter to be called 'County'. The series will be a one-hour drama starring Ritter in the lead role. It will center on a group of doctors, nurses and administrators in a Los Angeles hospital.

Also in the works will be 'Chicago Fire', a drama from Law & Order's Dick Wolf which follows a team of firefighters as well as the comedy 'Downwardly Mobile' starring sitcom veteran Roseanne Barr who will portray the head of a mobile home park who serves as a mother figure to its unusual group of residents. 

Among the other pilots ordered by the network will be 'Go On' from 'Friends' writer Scott Siveri, 'Animal Kingdom', an office comedy about a veterinarian, 'Friday Night Dinner', based on a British series, 'Next Caller Please', which centers on a DJ at a satellite radio station, and 'Daddy's Girl', about a young girl who returns home to find her father dating the girl who tormented her throughout high school.
