Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC), a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, welcomes a special movie marathon to celebrate the work of acclaimed director Edgar Wright and his new film "The World's End." This movie marathon also includes "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz" in a special one-day-only event Thursday, August 22. Admission for all three movies along with a medium popcorn and medium soft drink can be purchased for a total of $25 by members of the Regal Crown Club, the most popular moviegoer loyalty program in the U.S.

"Regal Crown Club members are some of the biggest movie fanatics in the world," said Kelly Hawkins director of loyalty and promotions for Regal Entertainment Group. "Regal shares their love of movies and we look for opportunities to reward our members. Celebrating this talented filmmaker with a movie marathon combo at a bargain price will bring smiles and laughter to our valued patrons."

When purchasing tickets in person at the box office, Regal Crown Club members will enjoy a special offer on their food and drink. For each $20 movie marathon ticket sold, members receive a coupon good for a combo of a medium popcorn and medium soft drink for only $5. The industry-leading Regal Crown Club is free to join and enables frequent guests to enjoy tremendous values. Join the club at theatres, through the Regal App or online: REGmovies.com

"When at Comic-Con recently, I heard Edgar Wright talk about the 'Cornetto Trilogy' and how these films connect. Combined with the new movie, fans should enjoy a hilarious and satisfying conclusion," stated Ken Thewes, chief marketing officer for Regal Entertainment Group. "Seeing all three films at Regal Cinemas with other moviegoers who greatly appreciate Wright's work will make this marathon experience special."

Director Edgar Wright and actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reunite for a third film following the successes "Shaun of the Dead" (2004) and "Hot Fuzz" (2007). In "The World's End," 20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by Gary King (Simon Pegg), a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub - The World's End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind's. Reaching The World's End is the least of their worries.
