GREY'S ANATOMY's resident neurosurgeon now owns a coffee chain.

Patrick Dempsey, in a bold move, partnered with investors and bought out the small Seattle chain Tully's Coffee. The actor was reportedly in competition with Starbucks to buy out the business, which had gone bankrupt.

"We met the green monster, looked her in the eye, and...SHE BLINKED! We got it! Thank you Seattle!," Dempsey posted on Twitter Thursday night.

On Friday, he said: "Heading to Clyde Hill Tully's now to meet employees and our customers. Very exciting."

According to ABC News, Dempsey's Global Baristas acquired Tully's for $9.15 million.

The actor claims to intend to be very hands-on with getting the coffee chain back on its feet.

"We are very encouraged and excited that Patrick Dempsey's commitment to Tully's, to the company, the stores and perhaps most importantly, in keeping the members of Tully's family in place as they are today," Scott Pearson, CEO of Tully's Coffee, said in a statement.
