Last night in London (11/3), Sony Pictures Releasing UK had their World Premiere of A STREET CAT NAMED BOB. The Premiere benefits the charity Action on Addiction and was attended by the charity's Patron, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge.

The World Premiere was also attended by the film's leading actors Luke Treadaway, Ruta Gedmintas, Joanne Froggatt, Anthony Head and director Roger Spottiswoode. Appearing alongside the cast will be James Bowen, whose LIFE STORY the film is based on. Also walking the red carpet will be the eponymous star of the movie, Bob.

A STREET CAT NAMED BOB hits theaters in the UK November 4th from Sony Pictures, and will then hit US theaters on November 18th from Cleopatra Films.

Based on the International Best Selling Book, A STREET CAT NAMED BOB is a moving and uplifting feel-good true story. When James Bowen found an injured, ginger street cat curled up in the hallway of his sheltered accommodation, he had no idea just how much his life was about to change. James was living hand to mouth on the streets of London and the last thing he needed was a pet. Yet James couldn't resist helping the strikingly intelligent tom cat, whom he quickly christened Bob. He slowly nursed Bob back to health and then sent the cat on his way, imagining he would never see him again. But Bob had other ideas. Soon the two were inseparable and their diverse, comic and occasionally dangerous adventures would transform both their lives, slowly healing the scars of each other's troubled pasts.
