Deadline reports that the Santa Barbara International Film Festival will honor Oprah Winfrey with its Montecito Award at the 29th edition of the festival. The award acknowledges her performance in "Lee Daniels' The Butler," as well as her iconic career in all aspects of the industry. The Tribute will be held on February 5, 2014.

The Montecito recognizes a performer who has given a series of classic and standout performances throughout her or his career. Previous recipients include Daniel Day-Lewis, Geoffrey Rush, Julianne Moore, Kate Winslet, Javier Bardem, Naomi Watts and Annette Bening, who was the very first recipient in 2005.

Winfrey's co-star in "The Butler," Forest Whitaker, will receive the fest's Kirk Douglas Award at a ceremony on December 15.

The festival runs January 30-February 9.
