OVID.tv Announces New Titles Added to Streaming Platform

New streaming platform OVID.tv begins the roll out of it's robust collection of films not widely known, with six new selections from a canon of historical films and masterpieces curated from this collaborative streaming platform led by eight leading U.S. independent distribution companies.

On March 29, 2019 viewers will have access to five French language titles plus the definitive 10 part series about wine.

A Kid
This French-Canadian drama by Philippe Lioret is thriller is filled with secrets, this story about one man's coming to term with the foreign family he never knew he had is complex, with interconnected themes such as masculinity, family, paternity and filial devotion coiling in the layers underneath.

After Love
This French/Belgian film by Joachim Lafosse, stars Bérénice Bejo and Cédric Kahn as Marie and Boris, who decide to get a DIVORCE after 15 years of marriage. Tensions RISE when cash-strapped Boris must continue to live with Marie and the two children while trying to figure out how to divide the assets.

The Assistant
A French drama-thriller by Christophe Ali andNicolas Bonilaur and starring Nathalie Baye and Malik Zidi. While he is taking his wife to hospital to give birth, Thomas hits and kills a young man on the road. The young man's mother is devastated. Nine years later, without revealing her identity, she becomes Thomas' secretary and gets involved in his life.

Next Time I'll Aim for the Heart
This French language film by Cédric Ange follows a meticulous police officer (Guillaume Canet) investigates the murders of young women by a serial killer.

The Country Doctor
In this French language film by Thomas Lilti, starringFrancois Cluzet and Marianne Denicourt, Dr Werner must find a replacement for himself after coming down with a serious illness, even though he considers himself irreplaceable.

Mondovino (10-part series)

The ultimate series about wine and wine culture. Using the dark, rich Bordeaux as the current standard-bearer, the film traverses several countries and continents to examine how the production of wine has created aristocratic dynasties and class conflicts. A film by Jonathan Nossiter

In April and In May OVID will add another 150 plus titles, with a strong focus on LGBTQ+ content in time for June's Pride celebrations.

In the summer of 2019, OVID will add more arthouse feature films, including films directed by Bi Gan, Pedro Costa, Claire Denis, Bruno Dumont, Cheryl Dunye, Philippe Garrel, NIKITA Mikhalkov, Eric Rohmer, Raul Ruiz, Dominga Sotomayor, Jean-Marie Straub and Danielle Huillet.

Initial subscription prices for OVID have been set at only $6.99 per month, or $69.99 annually. Customers will be offered a free introductory period. Exact launch date and where and how to sign up for OVID.tv will be announced later this month.
