November Brings New Milestones for Jimmy Wayne Including Multiple Airdates for Two Made-for-TV Movies

A year ago today, Jimmy Wayne released his third book (and first children's book) Ruby The Foster Dog and its 13-song companion CD, Ruby Toons. On the first anniversary of these releases Jimmy was also informed that his made-for-tv-movie "Paper Angels" will air multiple times on UPtv starting November 18, and will include a special placement at 7 AM/ET Christmas day.

"Paper Angels" started as an original, autobiographical song first appearing on Jimmy's self-titled debut album (2003). (This album also produced Jimmy's three-week #3, "Stay Gone.") "Paper Angels" was the most-added first-week release on Country radio since Dolly Parton's 1982 "Hard Candy Christmas." Coincidentally, 1982 is the year Jimmy first received a Christmas gift through the SALVATION Army's Angel Tree Program.

The song inspired Jimmy's first book PAPER ANGELS (2011), co-written with Travis Thrasher, and later became a family favorite film, airing every year since its premiere on UPtv in 2014.

"It's a special experience to 'be' a paper angel; then write a song about being a paper angel, then write a book about it and see it all come full circle on TV," shares Jimmy. "It's also fitting that all of this would happen in November, National Adoption Awareness Month. While all adoption-related issues are important, the particular focus of this month is the adoption of children currently in foster care. There are more than 400,000 children in foster care, 30,000 who age-out annually at 18, and more than 100,000 waiting to be adopted."

"It's why I wrote Ruby The Foster Dog, Walk To Beautiful and Paper Angels - to share what it's like to be a kid in foster care - and how just one person can make a life-changing difference for them."

In addition to "Paper Angels" airing through the holiday season, "Every Other Holiday" - the new film in which Jimmy makes his acting debut - premieres on Lifetime on November 23, the day after Thanksgiving. (Check local listings for airtimes in your area.)
