Niecy Nash Set to Star in Cedric the Entertainer's Pilot on TV Land
As first reported on Deadline, actress Niecy Nash is set to star in an upcoming TV Land pilot which will be a spinoff of the network's successful comedy sitcom 'Hot In Cleveland. The pilot will also feature Cedric the Entertainer.
The new comedy will be written by Suzanne Martin, creator of 'Hot In Cleveland' and will tell the story of Reverend Boyce, played by Cedric, who moves to St. Louis and must learn to balance his adventurous past with his new responsibilities to his congregation and his family. Nash, who previously starred in Reno 911!, will play the role of Boyce's wife. Cedric co-wrote the show's pilot along with Martin and will executive produce the show along with Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner.
Filming is set to begin on December 2nd of this year.
