According to reports from Variety, Disney is in talks with actress Amy Adams to join the currently untitled new Muppet movie, set to begin filming in November. Chris Cooper, Rashida Jones are also being mentioned to co-star with Jason Segel and round out the human cast.

The film will be directed by 'Flight of the Conchords' writer-director James Bobin.

Adams would play Segel's girlfriend, while Academy Award winner, Chris Cooper would play the movie's villian - "an evil oil tycoon set on destroying the Muppet Theater to drill for the oil he believes it's sitting on." Jones is rumored to play an ABC executive.

Adams has appeared in Disney flicks before, most notably in the 2007 film 'Enchanted' co-starring Patrick Dempsey, Susan Sarandon and Broadway powerhouse, Idina Menzel. She was nominated for an Academy Award in the film adaptation of John Patrick Shanley's DOUBT.

Cooper won both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for his performance in 'Adaptation.' He has also appeared in many major Hollywood films, including 'October Sky,' 'American Beauty' and 'Capote.'

Jones is best known for roles on television's 'The Office' and 'Parks and Recreation.'
