Netflix Announces Teenage Crime Drama EXTRACURRICULAR

Netflix Inc., the world's leading Internet entertainment service, announced its latest Korean original series, Extracurricular.

Extracurricular is a story of high school students who become tangled in a series of conflicts and events that challenge human values and morality. Oh Jisoo, played by Kim Dong Hee whom fans will recognize from the hit drama Sky Castle, ends up committing a serious crime because of his determination to make college tuition money on his own, by any means. Jung Dabin, widely known for her television commercial appearances as a child in Korea, plays Seo Minhee, a teenager who gets caught up in Jisoo's crime. Park Ju Hyun, who started her acting career in independent films and live theaters, plays Jisoo's schoolmate Bae Gyuri, who becomes involved in the same crime.

Besides these up-and-coming talent, a group of seasoned actors, namely Choi Minsoo (Sandglass, Lawless Lawyer) Park Hyuk-kwon (Six Flying Dragons, Secret Affair) and Kim Yeojin (Love in the Moonlight, Worlds Within), brings a great ensemble to the series. Choi plays Lee Whangchul who is a secret aide to Jisoo, while Park joins as Jisoo's home room teacher, Cho Jinwoo. Kim plays Lee Haegyoung, a police sergeant working in the women and juvenile affairs division.

Extracurricular is produced by Studio 329, and will launch globally only on Netflix.
